I work in the field of international development and cooperation since 1998 and have been employed on various projects in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Specialized in education, capacity development and evaluation, I have more than 20 years of experience in teaching, training and facilitating learning processes in various countries.
As a consultant, I have played an active role in monitoring and evaluating development interventions from a range of development actors including multilateral development agencies, bilateral donors, national governments and several NGOs. I also took part in project designs, participatory needs assessment, feasibility studies, as well as the design and implementation of capacity development strategies. I also teach coaching skills and strategies to project staff.
Over the last fifteen years I have conducted qualitative, quantitative and participatory research on a range of issues including education, gender, capacity development, adaptation to climate change, civil society and social inclusion. I have conducted fieldwork in various countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean’s and the Middle East. I have extensive experience in coordinating and supporting research teams, analyzing mixed data and using a variety of data analysis software. I also possess strong writing and editing skills.
